Last year, Kristin Jarmund Architects completed the National Dental Faculty at the Department of Odontology at the University of Bergen in Bergen, Norway. The site sits on a steep hillside and “the building acts as a bridge between campus areas between campus areas on either side of the site and decreased in scale and proportion as it tapers toward the neighbouring residential area”. It is both a university learning center and public dental hospital, so the architects created spaces for learning and teaching, as well as patient treatment facilities. The glass-paneled facade varies in color so as to reflect the tones of nearby residences and vegetation.
