From the Atlantic, an interesting article about how so many elite college campuses came to be dominated by Gothic structures, from Yale’s famous Harkness Tower to Princeton’s Chapel.

But while the structures appear timeless and their look and feel has come to represent what many think of as classic American college architecture, it wasn’t always this way, and many of the structures aren’t even that old.
