From Trahan Architects comes the new Louisiana State Museum and Sports Hall of Fame in Natchitoches, LA. Located on a site overlooking the Cane River Lake, the structure pays homage to the local timber industry with gorgeous contemporary woodwork incorporated within flowing, curved tile corridors.
The result is a structure that seamlessly blends light and dark, with its corridors and display areas flowing from one to the next, forming an integrated, flowing whole. It’s a small structure but one that definitely leaves an impression.
