Proposal of 5th Pavilion of Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Proposal of 5th Pavilion of Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Saucier and Perrotte’s design for the Montreal Museum of Fine Art’s Fifth Pavilion has recently been announced as a finalist in the competition. The proposed project, planned to be constructed of marble with gray veins, would allow access to the large gallery spaces and indicate the route through the building. The elevated connection to the existing Demarias Pavilion would provide space for informal exhibitions and school gatherings.

The space of the project would be accessible from the street, allowing it to serve as a public zone and a location for children’s educational programs.
