Chicago Lakefront By: stcchicago
Chicago, home to a vast number of historic and innovative buildings and public installations, will soon house seven massive revolving wheels in the Olive Park area. Each wheel will be somewhere between 20 and 35 meters in diameter and rest on a concrete foundation. The design is based on the ferris wheel. These huge circles will be seen from a far distance, and one will even be placed in Lake Michigan. They are meant to act as “the cultural gate to Chicago, welcoming visitors”.
