Complaints against the growing number of 1000+ foot condo towers starting to spring up in Mid-Town Manhattan are starting to mount.
The first 1000+ structure to be completed, Pritzker Prize winner Christian de Portzamparc’s One57, was slammed over the weekend by Justin Davidson in New York Magazine. Davidson called de Portzamparc’s structure “tall and clunky, preening yet graceless”.
Yet Davidson’s biggest complaints against One57 center around its target tenants, the mega rich jet setters “who see the city as their private snow globe.”
