The ‘Superpose’ school extension competition is underway in Sion. OVERCODE architecture firm has submitted their proposal for the project and created a design where the “starting point… was to conceive a compact building deploying a strategy of economy of means and space”. The structure acts as a kind of perimeter to the school. It unites the courtyard with a new event space, the street, and the existing school while also keeping the functions separate. The new building utilizes the advantage of many different levels to keep the open space open and allow sunlight and natural ventilation into the school.
