Interior of St Moritz Church Interior of St Moritz Church

St Moritz Church, a building with 1,000 years of history that is located in Augsburg, a provincial part of Germany, has re-opened after a two-and-a-half year renovation. Starting off as a Romanesque basilica, St Moritz Church was rebuilt in the Gothic style, then transformed into a Baroque style, and after a bombing in 1944 that destroyed all but the outer walls, it was rebuilt in the style of the post-war aesthetic.
