Solarwalk, George Washington University Solarwalk, George Washington University

Using PV floor panels manufactured by a Onyx Solar, a Spanish tech company, students at George Washington University have created a 100-square-foot walk-able solar-panel pathway. Each panel of the Solar Walk has a non-slip surface and can support a load of up to 882 pounds. Together, each panel provides enough energy to light up the pathway by powering 450 LEDs that shine through the panels. The Solar Walk is the first solar-powered walk-able pathway in the world.
