The first piece of a $4 billion transit hub. the World Trade Center Concourse, opened last Thursday. The underground passageway that has been closed since 9/11, and connects the WTC transit hub to the Winter Garden and Hudson River. The rest of the hub, expected to be completed in 2015, will connect tens of thousands of commuters to the PATH rail system, ferry service, and New York City subway lines, as well as house stores and restaurants on two levels.
The World Trade Center Concourse is 600 feet long and constructed out of marble.
